Does P90X Ab Ripper X Really Work? (Review)

October 21, 2022 By Jess Billitz

P90X Ab Ripper X review image

Tony Horton himself describes his love-hate relationship with Ab Ripper X quite literally:

“I hate it, but I love it.”

And, now a full 18 years later, P90X — more specifically, the 15-minute Ab Ripper X workout — is still a source of mayhem amongst the amateur bodybuilding brotherhood.

Does it really work? Will it tug you more toward love or hate?

Can it double as a standalone ab program? Or does the age-old saying, “Abs are made in the kitchen,” completely defeat this program’s promises?

Find out below!

Just Bring Your Body: Bodyweight Workout Plan [Review]

October 21, 2022 By Daniel Louwrens

Just bring your body review image

Is your gym a grueling 30 minutes in traffic from your home? I just wish you could do the workout at home and still get the same results.

A promising idea and the trainers over at Beachbody have supposedly designed the perfect at-home workout plan (Just Bring Your Body) – or have they?

Yes, Insanity Asylum is Hard (Complete Review)

October 11, 2022 By Jess Billitz

Insanity Asylum review image

Then again, we’ve yet to see a Shaun T program we’d call “easy.”

Insanity Asylum (Vol. 1) is almost 30 straight days of unrelenting training purgatory. (OK, that might sound a smidge dramatic, but many agree that Asylum gives Insanity a run for its money.)

This athletic-based program requires an insane amount of mental willpower, strength, and stamina. Shaun T even dubs these speed, agility, balance, and coordination-heavy workouts the “hardest” you’ll ever try … which is mildly terrifying considering he cooked up the OG Insanity.

Read more about the ridiculously challenging 30-day Insanity Asylum program below.

Beachbody’s Hammer and Chisel Workout Program (Review)

October 11, 2022 By Jess Billitz

Hammer and Chisel review image

With a badass name like “Hammer and Chisel” and Beachbody elites like Sagi Kalev and Autumn Calabrese coming together for a collaboration, H & C seems like the most logical next step.

The before and after pictures are envy-inducing, and, from the outset, it looks like 60 days from now, you’ll hit the trifecta: shed weight, gain mass, and look beach-ready.

But we’ve been down that road before.

If you’re taking the first step in your journey or want to plan the next chapter after P90X or Body Beast, here’s everything you need to know about Beachbody’s Hammer and Chisel Program.

Does Joel Freeman’s 10 Rounds Work? (Beachbody Review)

October 11, 2022 By Jess Billitz

10 Rounds review image

Any boxing superfan will tell you that surviving ten rounds in the ring without a K.O. is the mark of an elite prizefighter.

And, if you’ve caught wind of the 10 Rounds boxing-centric workout program, you might have a few questions buzzing through your mind.

Joel Freeman is ripped (there’s no disputing that).

But was this the program behind his bulky yet cut physique? Is it a fun way to stay active, or will it leave you in beach-ready shape? Does it actually shed stubborn body fat like the ads suggest?

Here’s the blow-by-blow of Joel Freeman’s 10 Rounds routine from Beachbody On Demand.

Body Beast Workout Review: Is It Any Good?

October 10, 2022 By Jess Billitz

Body Beast review image

Body Beast made the rounds on TV paid programming in 2018, creating a ton of buzz in the lifting, fitness, and bodybuilding circles.

The commercials hyped the program up as an ab-carving, fat-incinerating, and muscle-building beast that can turn you from “regular Joe to jacked” or — wait for it — “mommy to hottie.”

The before-and-after pictures and success stories are impressive.

But is this 90-day program any good? And, by “good,” we mean will you have a muscular, trim, and aesthetic physique just three months from now?

This is our top-to-bottom review of Body Beast.

Val gutu bodyweight bootcamp review image

Some of the leanest and most fit people on the planet are those in the military. It then wouldn’t be a far stretch to use that type of training style to improve your cardiovascular fitness, right?

Val Gutu seems to agree and made a whole Bootcamp program around this idea – Bodyweight Bootcamp. But let’s see if it’s any good.

Devin wiggins 600 seconds review image

What if you’re really busy? What if you’re the CEO of a company, a single mother of 3, or maybe you just watch a lot of Netflix? How can you fit the most amount of work into a few minutes?
