Kinobody is a fitness brand that’s seen explosive growth in popularity in recent years because of its primary focus on building the “Hollywood physique”. You may have heard about the Warrior Shredding Program or the Greek God course, or maybe you have seen that video on YouTube titled The Real Bruce Wayne Revealed, that features program creator Greg O’Gallagher waking up in his ridiculously large mansion with a model by his side before driving his Lamborghini to the gym.
Yes, O’Gallagher and his brand has its share of critics, but it also has hundreds of thousands of followers who swear by the program’s success. So, I wanted to really dive into the Kinobody brand and find out everything I could about the programs and lifestyle. It’s time to look past the marketing and really do some digging to find out what this program is all about, and if it can really give the results that it promises.
Make sure you read this Kinobody review all the way to the end to discover the nitty gritty details about the brand’s popular workout programs, supplements, and workout and diet philosophies.

About the Kinobody Founder – Greg O’Gallagher
You can’t create a Kinobody review without mentioning the course founder, Greg O’Gallagher. He essentially became a millionaire at the age of 24 because he took his shirt off on YouTube and promised that you can get a “Hollywood physique” without restricting your diet or working out every day.
He first went viral in 2015 with his Real Bruce Wayne video, and then he followed up with videos inspired by American Psycho and Fight Club. The reason he likes to portray characters played by Christian Bale and Brad Pitt is because O’Gallagher believes those two actors had near-perfect physiques in those films, and that is the body type he is selling. His programs are all about a superhero body type, instead of getting big and bulky.
I was always fascinated with muscle and strength, so I was drawn to the physicality and loved watching the speed, power and precision in action movies. Even as a kid, I would be practicing these moves, doing push-ups and chin-ups. I just wanted to improve my body.
O’Gallagher grew up in Toronto, and is the son of the late Michael O’Gallagher, a Candian real estate mogul who was worth more than $800 million at the time of his passing. The Kinobody founder says by the age of six that his goal in life was to “build a downright incredible physique that was strong and powerful.” But, when his dad died, he says it pressured him to figure out how to make something of his life on his own.
O’Gallagher dropped out of college after his freshman year and worked briefly as a personal trainer before moving to Los Angeles. He started following different fitness influencers on social media, but realized that there was nothing out there that he really loved and that lined up with his fitness goals. So, he decided to start making his own online content and products.
After months of blog posts and YouTube videos that didn’t make a dime, he released the Warrior Shredding and Greek God programs in 2012 and partnered with a marketing team the following year. By 2014, both programs had grossed more than $1 million in sales, and the Kinobody brand was born.
Since then, O’Gallagher has released more programs, added an entire catalog of fitness products, released a line of supplements, and created a clothing brand. This is really what makes a full Kinobody review so important.
All these products improve your journey and experience. It always comes back to ‘how does this [product] help you build your best body and provide you with better results?’ I want to help people get confident and be more happy with their lives. I want to help them get in shape and feel proud of themselves.
O’Gallagher has faced his share of criticism because he shares methods that appear to be “too good to be true.” He promotes intermittent fasting, and his workouts are nothing but simple, effective compound movements. But, what makes him stand out is the lifestyle he promotes: living in a mansion, driving expensive cars, eating at the best restaurants, and always having a beautiful woman on his arm like a Hollywood celebrity.
Kinobody’s Physical Stats
It’s a little difficult to nail down, but a few sources on the internet (including O’Gallagher’s videos) have alluded to his physical body stats:
Weight: 175 to 185lbs
Height: 5’10”
Body fat: 7 to 9%
Is Kinobody Legit?
So is Kinobody’s founder, Greg O’Gallagher actually legitimate? In short – Yes. O’Gallagher’s programs and courses can genuinely decrease body fat percentages and increase muscle hypertrophy for those who follow his teachings completely. He’s able to consistently lift and move incredible amounts of weight in relation to his lean musculature and his physique is easily attainable through natural methods taught in his programs.
Editor’s Note: Overall, you can rest assured that Kinobody is not a scam artist and the hundreds of product testimonials and featured transformations are actually real. Of course, you should come to your own decision based on your own independent research in addition to what we share in this Kinobody review.
Our Reviews for the Top Rated Kinobody Courses
Kinobody Movie Star Body Program
Movie Star Body is Kinobody’s flagship fitness program since it represents the ultimate goal for the brand’s digital programs – to help you transform your average body into something that resembles a sculpted Hollywood actor you might see in a blockbuster action film.
The program has multiple product tiers each with their own benefits.
- Movie Star Bodyweight Program – Least expensive tier containing only a bodyweight training program.
- Movie Star Body Platinum Program – Middle tier containing a bodyweight and gym training program.
- Movie Star Body Coaching Program – Most expensive tier containing all program modules plus group coaching and product discounts.
The program contains full training and nutrition info to help you change your body. Most of the modules are written text, but there are still a few HD exercise tutorials and talking head videos that provide additional guidance.
Even though this program has quite a bit of filler, includes unnecessary strength standards, and promotes unhealthy body fat levels, it does have the complete details for helping you lose body fat and build muscle definition using bodyweight or free weight training.
Movie Star Body vs Greek God: What’s the Difference?
Are you confused about these two programs? (Join the club) Movie Star Body and Greek God are noticeably very similar, but the main difference between them are the goals they cover.
Movie Star Body can help with both building muscle and fat loss and even provides multiple training options via free weights, machines, and calisthenics. Greek God primarily focuses on building new muscle and its core training strategy is through free weights and machines.

Kinobody Aggressive Fat Loss Program
Before you can get shredded, you have to reduce your body fat percentage. And, to do that, Kinobody offers the Aggressive Fat Loss Program. This course will help you reach your ideal body weight by losing body fat quickly and maintaining lean muscle mass.
The curriculum features nutrition, training tips, specific workout routines, and aggressive fat loss tactics.
I actually used this program multiple times to lose 2 or more lbs of body fat in a single week. Granted these results are not typical for a Kinobody review, but it shows you what’s possible with this program.
Be warned however, because the techniques in this program are not always easy and require consistency and some advanced intermittent fasting tactics to create large caloric deficits that melt the fat off quickly.
Hey, you gotta make some sacrifices to get that Hollywood body.
Here’s what you’ll discover in the Aggressive Fat Loss Program:
- 8 Detailed Sections
- The Main Aggressive Fat Loss Manual
- Complete Nutrition Guide
- Aggressive Fat Loss Audio Companion MP3 (Bonus)
- Aggressive Fat Loss Cheat Sheet (Bonus)
- 2-Day Meal Plan (Bonus)

Kinobody Greek God Program
Out of this entire Kinobody review, this program is one of the most popular.
Greek God is all about gaining muscle and strength. You’ll workout three days a week with a simple two-workout split, and the program promises amazing results and progress.
This is a minimalist method of training that focuses on progressing key movements, and it will maximize your time at the gym and getting the best results with the least amount of effort.
O’Gallagher says the Greek God Program is your fastest way to building a strong and muscular body you’re proud of.
What you will learn with Greek God:
- The 4 essential lifts for building rock-solid muscle
- The 10 assistance exercises that develop your lagging muscles and help you break through strength plateaus
- How to maximize your lifting protocol so you can easily build super strength and dense, rock-hard muscle
- How to master the art of strength progressions so you never hit a strength-building plateau again
- Why building relative strength is the key to the ultimate Greek God Kinobody Hollywood Physique
- Optimal training frequency for maximum strength and muscle gains (the “media” misleads you in a HUGE way with this!)
- How to incorporate specialization routines for accelerated muscle growth on lagging body parts
Kinobody Superhero Bulking Program
The Superhero Bulking Program is the final stage of Kinobody physique development and it features four phases. The first phase is honed in on building the chest and the back. At the same time, you are maintaining the size of your shoulders, arms, legs. You are still hitting those muscle groups, but putting more focus on the chest and the back.
In those two months, you’re going to start to see your chest pop out and you’re shoulders get wider.
Next, you transition to the shoulder phase. This is when your shoulders really start to pop, they get that rounded cap look, and you really create that masculine superhero physique.. Even while you’re doing the shoulder phase, you’re still maintaining the results you made on the previous chest and back phase. Then you will start to tie things in and bring in the arms for the third phase.
The final phase of this course lasts two months, and it is for tying everything together. You will not be doing a leg phase because they will grow on their own, and you don’t want to add too much size.
If you try to focus on building everything at once when you’re past that beginner-intermediate, early advanced stage, you’re setting yourself up for just running around in circles. The Greek God Program is great for people who want to build up that Greek God physique, but the Superhero Bulking Program is what can take it to the next level.
Here’s what’s included in the Superhero Bulking Program at the time of writing this Kinobody review:
- The Complete Workout Routine in 4 Phases
- Detailed Diet Bulking Instructions
- The Superhero Physique Standards to Plan Your Transformation
- Nutrition & Diet Guide to Fuel Muscle Growth
- Full Exercise Tutorial Videos (Bonus)
- Cardio Guide (Bonus)
- Muscle Building Formula (Bonus)
- Hacking the Hollywood Physique Audio (Bonus)
- Superhero Guide to Dating (Bonus)
Kinobody Bodyweight Mastery Program
This program was Kinobody’s original way to teach you how to improve your body with bodyweight training. However, the brand replaced this program with the Movie Star Body program.
Here’s what this program covered in the past…
To achieve body mastery, you have to be lean. In The Bodyweight Mastery Program, you learn how to work up to these advance movements, and you’re going to learn how to make nutrition so simple and effortless that you can achieve your physique goals with absolute ease; whether you want to lean down, or if you want to build muscle.
Here are just a few things you’ll discover in this program:
- How to Get a Ripped Body by Training Using Only Your Bodyweight
- The Secret to Adding Muscle without Body Fat
- Flexible Nutrition Strategies that Don’t Make You Count Every Calorie
- Full Exercise Tutorial Videos (Bonus)
- Exclusive Access to Kinobody Community (Bonus)
We dive a lot deeper into each of these elements in our Bodyweight Mastery Program Review.
Kinobody Goddess Toning Program
This was Kinobody’s original program designed specifically for women, but it appears that it’s being discontinued to make way for the Kino Baddie program.
Contrary to what a lot of women think, trying to just “get toned” doesn’t lead to a fitness model body. Toning is just a buzzword created by the mainstream media to scare women into joining the “lift light, pink dumbbells club” so they don’t actually create enough muscular stress to change anything.
That being said, Kinobody is an expert marketer and knows that calling a women’s course – The Goddess Toning Program, is going to draw attention.
To combat this opinion, Kinobody created a program for women to build a slim and sexy physique by losing body fat and increasing muscle tone through the use of effective resistance training.
This nutrition and workout system has been developed with three key things in mind:
- Using cardio and strength training strategically so that you’ll burn fat and build the right amount of muscle, providing the toned, feminine Hollywood body that you’ve always wanted.
- Teaching you how mainstream nutrition practices are in fact counter-productive—especially for women looking to burn fat and how to craft an eating plan that lets you enjoy all of your favorite foods without giving up on a great looking body.
- Rituals that teach you how to start loving who you are now, and who you’re going to become.
Here’s what’s included in this product at the time of writing this Kinobody review:
- Complete Workout Guide to Build Muscular Curves
- Nutrition & Diet Guide for Losing Body Fat Effortlessly
- Full Exercise Tutorial Videos (Bonus)
- Goddess Mindset and Motivational Workbook (Bonus)
- Exclusive Access to Kinobody Community (Bonus)
- Home Workout Plan (Bonus)
- Aggressive Fat Loss Diet (Bonus)
We reveal a lot more in our Goddess Toning Program Review including pros, cons, and what results you can actually expect.
Kinobody Cardio, Abs, & Mobility Program
Unfortunately, this program is no longer available. Check out Movie Star Body instead.
Here’s what we originally wrote about this program…
O’Gallagher created The Cardio Abs Mobility Program because he wanted to push fat loss a bit higher, get better conditioning, and to really build the abs. He says the problem with doing a lot of cardio is that it can interfere with strength training and make you hungrier. This, of course, makes it difficult to stick to your diet.
He calls this “super solid stuff” if you’re looking to amp up your results on your OFF days.
Here are a few things you’ll discover in this program:
- How to Maximize Fat Loss Using Strategic Cardio
- Powerful Tips to Lose Weight without Inhibiting Your Strength Training
- How to Make Your Body “Injury Proof”
- The Secret to Burning a Lot of Calories without Increasing Your Appetite
- Video Jump Rope Tutorial
Take a quick look at our review of the Cardio Abs and Mobility Program to see if this program can help you burn fat faster and see more impressive ab definition than the standard programs provide.
Kinobooty Program
This was Kinobody’s original program designed specifically for women, but it appears that it’s being discontinued to make way for the Kino Baddie program.
Here’s what we originally wrote about it…
If you’re a woman that’s interested in achieving a curvy and muscular lower body, then the Kinobooty Program might be just what you’re looking for.
This is a 12-week lower body course for women. It’s all about the waist-to-hip ratio, and part of the program is teaching females how the fitness industry has failed them. There are exercises to help achieve a firm booty, as well as core exercises and tips for the upper body.
This is a program for females who are more interested in the slim waist, wide hips, round butt look made popular in Hollywood and by today’s Instagram models.
In this program, Greg will challenge you to lift heavier weights than you’re probably used to, burn out those booty muscles, and push yourself hard while in the gym. However, it’s just three times a week so you can get proper rest and recovery for maximum booty gains.
Here’s what’s included in this program at the time of writing this Kinobody review:
- The Measurements and Strategic for Building a Visually-Impressive Booty
- Specific Workout Routines Targeted for Your Upper and Lower Body
- Video Exercise Tutorials
- Complete Nutrition Guide So You Can Lose Body Fat Fast
- Awesome Support from the Exclusive Facebook Community
There’s a lot more to say about this product in our full Kinobooty Program Review. Make sure you check it out to discover if this program is right for your feminine fitness goals.
Kinobody Elite Program
The Kinobody Elite Program was one of the first programs created by Greg O’Gallagher in the early days of the brand. Don’t bother searching for it on the website (or even on Google), because it doesn’t exist anymore.
What was in this program? Apparently, it wasn’t designed like most other Kinobody systems. There were basically two things that set it apart:
- Intermittent fasting wasn’t heavily featured
- Too much emphasis was put on specialized isolation exercises
If you’ve read this far, then you know that the terms “intermittent fasting” and “Kinobody” go almost hand-in-hand. Without this popular diet strategy in the program, O’Gallagher probably thought the system wouldn’t mesh well with his brand.
Additionally, the typical Kinobody style of lifting revolves around some key compound lifts like weighted chin-ups, inclined bench presses, and shoulder presses. Oppositely, the Kinobody Elite Program had a lot more focus on isolation exercises like biceps curls and triceps pushdowns to enhance specific muscle groups while minimizing the effectiveness of the compound movements.
O’Gallagher’s opinions on diet and training probably evolved with time and he decided to put Kinobody Elite to rest when he developed his next programs.
Kino Athlete Program
The Kino Athlete Program is designed for those who want to increase their raw athleticism — whether on or off the field.
This four month long program includes both power/speed training in addition to top-notch strength exercises like deadlifts and squats; its goal is to improve every aspect about being athletic including jumping higher (and lifting heavier), as well as sprinting faster.
The program includes three strength-training workouts per week with a once-weekly speed-training session thrown in.
And workouts feature some of Kinobody’s signature set schemes including rest-pause, reverse pyramid training (RPT), and build-up.
As usual, this program promotes intermittent fasting.
This program is currently in the BETA phase and according to most users, it’s not shaping up to be all that great.
Make sure you check out our full review of the Kino Athlete Program to learn more.
What Is the Best Kinobody Program? (Which Should I Do?)
For men that are new to fitness, the Movie Star Body program is all-inclusive and offers strategies for multiple goals. Of course, guys can sign up for a program to target more specific goals. For example, the Greek God program focuses on building new muscles while the Aggressive Fat Loss program focuses on losing body fat. If you’re a women, Kino Baddie is currently the only program available.
How Much Do Kinobody Programs Cost?
Each Kinobody program costs $97, but the prices tend to discount by 40% or more on major holidays like Labor Day, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday.
Our Reviews for Kinobody Supplements
After O’ Gallagher made a name for himself with his line of workout programs, he decided to enter the supplement space. It’s common for fitness experts to delve into supplements since production costs are quite low making the margin on each sale very high.
What’s interesting about the Kinobody line is they offer supplements that cover the full workout process going from pre to post to recovery. Each supplement has pretty high ratings to boost. This section of the Kinobody review will expand on each of the brand’s popular supplements.
Kino Octane Pre Workout
The first of Kinobody’s suite of supplements is Kino Octane Pre-Workout. This promises to help you improve your performance and energy, increase stamina and endurance, and give you a better recovery. Also, there is no post-workout crash.
What’s interesting about this particular pre workout is the mix of ingredients that Kinobody groups into three distinct blends.
Blend #1: The Metabolic Acceleration Blend
This blend contains thiamine, l-citrulline, and biotin. These ingredients are supposed to clear lactic acid build-up in the muscles and allow for faster recovery between sets.
Blend #2: Neural Alignment Blend
The second blend contains caffeine and l-theanine. Both of these ingredients can help in general alertness, but caffeine is a stimulant found in many pre-workout supplements. Kinobody claims that 150 mg is the “sweet spot” for achieving energy and focus during a workout.
Blend #3: The Electrolyte Primer Blend
This last blend contains sodium and potassium. These electrolytes are added to the supplement to aid in mineral depletion that naturally occurs during a workout.
Similar to why professional athletes drink sports drinks during a game, gym-goers can preemptively fight off dehydration with the help of Kino Octane.
If you want to find out what we think are all the benefits and negatives of this popular pre-workout, just check out our complete and detailed review of Kino Octane right now.
Kino Collagen Protein
Kino Collagen Protein is Kinobody’s signature protein supplement. In addition to helping in the production of new muscle tissue, the product description says that by taking this supplement daily, you can additionally support:
- Muscle growth
- Healthy skin
- Tissue, joints, and cartilage
- Heart health and blood vessels
- Hunger regulation
- Gut health
The product boasts that being a collagen protein excludes you from experiencing any common side effects associated with whey protein like gas, stomach cramps, and bloating.
However, collagen comes with its own risk of minor side effects including bad taste in the mouth, fullness, and heartburn.
Kino Collagen Reviews
Of course, when you read the reviews on the Kinobody website, they’re nothing but sunshine and ponies. Here are a few:
My experience was pretty great, it’s just pretty expensive stuff
Kaden H.
I have tried a lot of proteins from GNC proteins, to different fitness proteins, whey, casein, plant based, and collagen proteins. This one tastes the best out of all of them and I trust the ingredients and the results show! It’s great for buliding muscle and I even noticed it helped clear up my skin a bit. It’s also easier to digest.
Anonymous
For someone who is sensitive to whey, this is a great alternative. Mixes easy. It clumps sometimes but if you mix it well enough it will be great
Dimosthenis V.
Trying to find reviews off of the brand’s website proved to be harder, but I found a couple quotes from YouTube reviews:
It’s good. It’s really good. I think I added too much water, but it’s good.
Jeremy Stern
This stuff is absolutely amazing.
Michael Lewis Hudson
Kino Gains
Want to make more gains each workout? Join the club!
KINO GAINS is a potent combination of three clinically-dosed ingredients designed to help you pack on muscle in the right areas by increasing androgen receptor availability, methylating excess estrogen, and increasing anabolic hormone synthesis.
These ingredients are:
- Creatine Monohydrate – This is one of the most studied and researched supplements in the fitness industry and has substantial evidence that is improves strength and muscle growth in athletic individuals.
- L-Carnitine – This supplements helps to provide more energy during workouts and there are studies showing the effectiveness of this compound to give energy to muscle androgen receptors.
- Choline Bitartrate – This supplement helps to clear out estrogen and increase your focus.
This workout supplement even comes in a fun name right now… Kino Colada.
Kino Aminos
Kino Aminos support your body’s ability to grow and maintain muscle. The BCAAs in Kino Aminos have also been shown in peer-reviewed research to decrease muscle soreness, reduce exercise-related fatigue, and improve recovery, which altogether may account for better workouts, more weight-lifted for Personal Records, and busting through plateaus.
However, there’s actually mixed anecdotal evidence of BCAAs doing anything to help if they’re taken in the fasted state and there probably isn’t enough evidence yet to make a firm conclusion in this Kinobody review.
If you are interested in this product, you can purchase each supplement by itself, or you can buy a Superhero Stack, which is one bottle of Gains, one bottle of Aminos, and one bottle of Octane.
Kino Sleep
Kinobody also offers Kino Sleep, which is an all-natural sleep formula that uses a 100% research-backed blend of ingredients that help improve sleep quality, safely boost hormonal function, and put your body into a state of restful balance.
To be honest, I don’t like sleep aid products. If you consumed so many stimulants via Kino Octane or Kino Gains that you need a sleep aid, you should reconsider if workout supplements are for you. Of all the supplements mentioned in this Kinobody quiz, this one seems to be the most unnecessary.
KinoVision: Glasses
Another popular item in the Kinobody store is the KinoVision glasses designed to block blue light.
If you’re not “in the know,” electronic devices with screens give off blue light which has been found to affect your sleep and possibly increase your risk of developing certain diseases. Yikes.
However, wearing simple blue light-blocking lenses while staring at the screens on these devices has shown to increase nighttime melatonin levels by 58%, and improve sleep quality.
KinoVision glasses, designed to block these harmful forms of light, come in two different styles (Hughs and Kingsman) and have plenty of 5-star reviews to bolster their marketing.
Kinobody Clothing Line
In addition to the workout courses and supplements, Kinobody released an exclusive clothing line to support its current products. So, are these like any other clothes made by a fitness influencer? Not really.
Unlike other fitness brands that might just design a logo and slap it on any old t-shirt made by Champion, Kinobody, again, went the route of Hollywood style. Greg O’Gallagher decided to avoid the common low-quality clothes that most YouTube stars throw together to make a quick buck off their fans and instead focus on producing premium clothes made to last over the long term and designed to accentuate a strong, aesthetic form.
On the Kino Clothing website, you’ll find a decent selection of shirts being worn by O’Gallagher himself, all made from a combination of bamboo, cotton, and spandex for higher comfort and flexibility compared to a regular t-shirt. They’re made for the guy that built an impressive body and wants to show it off.
Are there any negatives? Well… the price is a bit much. Even the cheapest shirt, on sale, is $30.00. Yikes. I mean, these shirts are supposed to be super comfortable, and they look pretty cool too. It’s really about the perception, and whether you want a shirt that definitely won’t be an impulse purchase.
How to Buy Kinobody Products
From the Hollywood physique courses, to the supplements, to the clothing, there are quite a few products being sold by this fitness brand. So, where do you go to actually make a purchase? Here the primary online locations where you can buy Kinobody goods for the best prices.
Amazon
With almost 30% of online sales going to this monster, ecommerce store, Amazon is the place to be if you’re looking for Kinobody supplements and gear. Sometimes the brand’s most popular products like Octane and Kino Aminos are out of stock, but stock typically replenishes within a few weeks.
Kinobody Store
All of the Kinobody products are for sale directly at the Kinobody store, so why not go straight to the source? This is probably the best place to go since you’ll also be aware of any new lines that are released as soon as they hit the market.
When you land on the home page, you’ll see the following product category links:
- Programs – Here you can dive into each training and diet system including the popular Greek God and Warrior Shredding programs.
- Supplements – Browse Kinobody’s selection of protein powders, pre workouts, BCAAs, and more.
- KinoBelt – Check out the brand’s custom weight belt used for weighted bodyweight movements like chin-ups and dips.
- KinoVision – Here are the blue light blocking glasses to prevent daily strain on your eyes if you stare at a screen all day.
You can add any number of these products to a standard online shopping cart and when you’re ready to pay, the Kinobody store accepts all major credit cards and PayPal as means of payment.
Ebay
You may not have thought to look here, but there are always a few good buys over at Ebay, the largest online bidding site. Of course, the product quality changes here since most items are pre-purchased or even pre-used.
Still, it’s not surprising to find extra bottles of pre-workout, protein powder, or BCAAs showing up in the listings. Even a bamboo t-shirt might make an appearance. Unfortunately, most Ebay users attempt to reclaim most of their original investment (if not more) when they put these things up for sale so don’t expect any major deals.
Using the Kinobody Quiz to Plan Your Physique
To help you achieve your own signature Hollywood body look, Greg created a custom tool called the Kinobody Quiz that takes into account different personal stats and goals and returns a recommended workout and diet program to match.
The quiz starts by asking your gender, followed by your age range. Next, it will quiz you about your current physical condition, and finally your fitness goals.
Once you have answered all of the questions, Kinobody will recommend the proper program to help you achieve the Kinobody physique.
If you want to learn more about what’s actually in the quiz and how it works, I suggest you take it for yourself.
The Key Takeaways of a Kinobody Workout
The Kinobody physique is a combination of mass, definition, and proportion working together in harmony. The first step is lowering body fat to get a slim waist and then adding muscle strategically to get a wide back, a masculine square chest, powerful delts, rock hard arms, and deep dense abdominals.
When it comes to the legs and glutes, they are meant to enhance the Kinobody physique by being lean and defined instead of bulky and curved. This is the ideal, but it takes a lot of work and discipline to achieve it.
The Kinobody training philosophy is not just about looking good, but also being strong, fit, and capable. So, you will be training for strength and power so that you will get maximum muscle growth, and then you will supplement that training with mobility stretches to reduce risk of injury.
Here are some of the main Kinobody workout points you need to remember:
- No matter which program you choose, Kinobody is all about training three days a week on non-consecutive days. O’Gallagher says that this is the ideal approach for both muscle and nervous system recovery.
- He also says to skip the cardio completely and to carefully calibrate and fine tune your approach.
- Each training regimen is simple and usually features four to six exercises per workout, and the key to maximum gains is progressive overload.
- O’Gallagher preaches that improving your lifts every week is the key to success, instead of destroying yourself in the gym everyday lifting the same weight every workout.
- Each workout will keep you in the five to eight rep range to maximize muscle growth, and O’Gallagher always preaches to take plenty of rest between sets.
A popular criticism of Greg’s programs and courses is they don’t emphasize leg training enough. However, our Kinobody review tends to agree with the creator’s philosophy on leg training since training your legs with the same intensity and focus as your upper body can actually cause them to grow at a disproportionate rate which isn’t as visually appealing for a Hollywood physique.
What is the Kino Diet?
The Kino diet is a nutrition protocol that focuses on caloric management with a combination of carb-cycling and intermittent fasting to increase exercise performance, induce temporary ketosis, and raise leptin levels.
It focuses on meal planning based on specific calorie calculations and macro nutrient requirements. Cycling carbohydrates allows your metabolism to maximize fat loss on rest days and provide needed energy on resistance training days.
Intermittent fasting is an eating protocol that controls meal timing and typically involves extending the overnight fast past the morning hours. The first meal consumed should be between 12 PM and 2PM.
It’s this signature combination of cycling and fasting that adds to the effectiveness of the Kinobody programs.
Important Kinobody Intermittent Fasting & Diet Rules
While the exercise portion of Kinobody is important, the crux of the program is intermittent fasting. Heck, the brand is constantly clubbing you over the head with this diet strategy.
O’Gallagher promotes the 18/6 method, which is fasting for 18 hours and eating during a six-hour window each day.
You’re supposed to drink only water and black coffee until 2 p.m. Then, you can have a low-calorie meal (around 400 calories) and before 8 p.m., you’re supposed to eat a larger 1,600 calorie meal.
The idea behind this approach is that fasting throughout the day and then replenishing your body with food at night will “optimize catabolic and anabolic activity” and “fat mobilization.” By skipping breakfast and extending your overnight fast into the day, your growth hormone levels rise and it will preserve muscle mass and shift fuel metabolism into fat burning.
The insulin sensitivity in your muscles will also increase which will lead to lean muscle gains. O’Gallagher says that the improved insulin sensitivity will “better direct carbs into your muscle stores and away from fat storage.”
Testosterone is also boosted during short-term fasting, and by avoiding breakfast you won’t be eating when your cortisol peaks. Eating with elevated levels of cortisol can trigger post-meal hunger.
The Kinobody programs warn against fasting for more than twenty hours because it will deplete liver glycogen and shift you into a catabolic state. This can hurt your training performance and impair muscle building.
But, if this Kinobody review is being fair, the brand isn’t just about intermittent fasting, it also focuses on proper nutrition. If you’re eating a poor diet and not paying attention to what you put into your body, fasting isn’t going to do much for you. So, it is all about eating healthy and being accountable for your calorie intake.
O’Gallagher also claims that intermittent fasting making eating healthy easier because you will start to crave foods like animal protein and veggies. And, because you are only eating two to three meals each day, you won’t have to think about it too much.
He also promotes the large 1,600 calorie meal for the evening because it allows you to eat out at restaurants without blowing your diet.
As far as fat loss and muscle mass is concerned, the calories and macros matter. O’Gallagher recommends thinking of fasting as a way to make everything more enjoyable while also realizing some of the incredible physiological benefits that fasting provides.
To transition to intermittent fasting, O’Gallagher says that you shouldn’t be counting down the hours until you can eat. Instead, he says that you should feel a heightened sense of focus, alertness, and energy.
The Kinobody rules for intermittent fasting are:
- Forget about the eating window – Don’t feel like you are required to wait until 2:00 PM to eat. If you get up early, have your first meal a little earlier. If you sleep in, wait a little longer to have your first meal. The power of fasting comes down to spending a good chunk of the day in the fasted state. This isn’t about some arbitrary feasting window, but rather a tailored approach of eating 4-7 hours after you typically wake up. Ultimately, keep it simple and flexible. You don’t want fasting controlling your life.
- Use caffeine strategically – Caffeine can enhance the effects of fasting by stimulating the metabolism, blunting the appetite, increasing energy levels, elevating fat mobilization, and heightening mental alertness. However, be careful with your intake so you don’t reduce the effects. Keep it around two cups of black coffee during the day, so you don’t desensitize yourself to caffeine.
- Workout intelligently – Intermittent fasting workouts in Kinobody are based on low volume strength training to build strength and muscle. For a calorie burn, they recommend low intensity walking, and for conditioning, the recommendation is to limit it to short sprint/interval sessions that last no longer than 20 minutes. Anything more intense will hamper your progress.
- Strategic fruit snacking – If you ever find yourself hungry – especially before your first meal – snack on a piece of fruit so it will replenish liver glycogen, which is what triggers hunger.
- Eat Big – You need to adjust the size of your meals with intermittent fasting so you aren’t tempted to snack on junk. Eat a good-size lunch and an even bigger dinner so you are full and satisfied. If you skimp on your meals, you risk getting hungry. You also want to make sure you are hitting your protein numbers to encourage satiety.
- Forget about it – Forget about the fact that you are fasting, and don’t tell everyone about it. When you focus on other things instead of constantly thinking about fasting, it will start to feel completely natural.

Here’s some Kinobody review honesty…

V Shred vs Kinobody: How Do They Compare?
If you’re familiar with some of the other online fitness influencers, then you’ve probably heard about V Shred. V Shred is another fitness brand that promotes the lean, muscular, Hollywood look for both men and women, but how does it compare to Kinobody?
V Shred was founded by Vincent Sant in Hollywood, California sometime in 2018 according to the Better Business Bureau filings. Similar to Kinobody, V Shred has a YouTube channel, premium fitness courses, and a supplement product line. So, what makes them different?
Two things appear to be different. One, there’s more diet inconsistencies in V Shred compared to Kinobody. For example, Kinobody promotes intermittent fasting as a prominent diet strategy that’s very identifiable to the brand. This strategy appears in every single course that Kinobody creates.
With V Shred, apparently some of the programs involve a consistent number of calories consumed daily while others require very strategic and precise carb cycling methods. This could cause confusion for someone that owns multiple programs, but it makes sense since not all dieting methods are optimal for every body type and goal.
Additionally, there appears to be a lack of customer support with V Shred. Customers have reported that getting additional advice or help with login issues is pretty difficult and the forums are sometimes like a ghost town.
Alternatively, Kinobody has a thriving Facebook community that’s constantly buzzing with advice and questions. They even have one of their featured transformation members, Scott Belot, as their primary moderator who is very active in the community, answering questions and sharing motivational advice.
According to the general public, V Shred’s products are still reliable and effective, but if support is important to you, you may want to consider Kinobody as a better option.
Kinobody vs LeanGains: Oddly Similar
There’s some controversy around the similarities between the Kinobody and Lean Gains brands (and rightly so). As far as workout and diet information goes, they share a lot of the same philosophies:
- Intermittent fasting
- Lift heavy weights in the gym
- Focus on compound lifts
- Use Reverse Pyramid Training (RPT) as the primary lifting scheme
If you ask almost anyone who’s been a part of the online fitness industry for a decade or more, they’ll tell you that Lean Gains founder, Martin Berkhan, is the “godfather” of intermittent fasting and was the first to pioneer pairing IF with RPT.
Berkhan’s popularity peaked back in 2012 and according to Reddit users and some YouTubers, O’Gallagher basically plagiarized Berkhan’s work.
One thing’s for certain, Kinobody was able to capitalize exponentially more than Lean Gains by selling thousands of programs for $67+ as opposed to Berkhan who decided to sell The LeanGains Method for a fraction of the price.
The Leangains Method
Nutrition expert Martin Berkhan reveals his method for getting ripped without cardio, without doing direct ab work, without starving himself, and without spending more than 2 hours a week in the gym.
Kinobody vs Bigger Leaner Stronger
Another prominent figure in the online fitness industry is Legion Athletics CEO Mike Matthews. He’s the author 8 books including his breakout hit, Bigger Leaner Stronger.
Now on the surface, Matthews is another smiling, ripped, model-like figure selling supplements and fitness programs, but his philosophies are not quite the same as those pushed by the Kinobody brand.
So what do Kinobody and Bigger Leaner Stronger (BLS) have in common?
- Calories Are King: Both resources believe that tracking your calories is the most important dietary tactic you can use to either lose or gain weight.
- Protein is High: Both Matthews and O’Gallagher agree that consuming more protein than the average person leads to better gains.
- Lift Heavy Weights: Kinobody is constantly stressing the concept of lifting heavy to stimulate muscle growth and BLS is right on board.
What are some things these resources DON’T agree on?
- Intermittent Fasting: You know that O’Gallagher loves to skip breakfast and focus on eating windows, but Matthews doesn’t mention this at all. The only meal timing BLS recommends is consuming some protein and carbs both pre and post workout to maximize growth and preservation.
- Exact Protein Amounts: Sure they both agree that protein is important, but the devil’s in the details. Kinobody recommends 0.8g per 1lb of bodyweight per day and BLS recommends 1g per 1lb of bodyweight per day.
- Reverse Pyramid Training (RPT): While Kinobody uses RPT in almost every one of its programs, BLS doesn’t even mention this. Matthews recommends performing the same number of reps for each set instead of building up or down the “pyramid.”
Considering the differences between the two, does that mean one is better than the other? Not necessarily.
Both strategies are most likely effective at building muscle and losing body fat, but it’s all about adherence. The one you can follow over the long term is the one that wins.

Legion Athletics CEO, Mike Matthews details his complete approach to building a lean and muscular body for beginners in this international best-selling book read by tens of thousands of men.
Kinobody vs Keto: Can They Work Together?
If you’re not already familiar, a Ketogenic diet (aka Keto) is a high protein, high fat, low carb diet used primarily for fat loss.
There are thousands of positive testimonials for the diet by regular people claiming they were able to lose fat, often from repeat dieters that failed to make progress in the past.
So can this restrictive dieting method work for Kinobody programs too?
Yes, according to O’Gallagher:
The fact of the matter is, you can eat anything you want and still lose weight. Granted, you must be in a calorie deficit.
We agree, as long as you the number of calories you consume is below what your body needs to maintain its current weight, you’ll lose fat.
It doesn’t matter if you go Paleo, Keto, or try your hand at the Twinkie diet. Losing fat is a numbers game that can be played multiple ways.
The Kinobody Reddit Reviews
There are a few different threads on Reddit about Kinobody, with users doing everything from asking if it works to accusing O’Gallagher of ripping off Martin Berkhan’s Leangains program.
The general Kinobody review among Reddit users is that the program features exercise and diet tips that will lead to success, but they are nothing new. Basically, the user reviews of the program are that it’s simply a “eat less, workout regularly” approach. But, that information is smartly packaged and marketed towards men who want to look and live like a Hollywood action star.
Kinobody Facebook Forum
All of the programs mentioned in this Kinobody review are designed for individual progress, but there’s a large Facebook Forum where people who are following the different programs can exchange tips and ideas for workouts and meals.
Over 300,000 people are part of the community, and Greg O’Gallagher also posts on the forum and answers questions.
Kinobody Transformation & Results to Expect
The Kinobody website is filled with before and after pictures of people who have completed the different programs available. Men and women of all ages have gained muscle and strength while shedding fat, and many have done it in just a few short weeks before reaching their goals. After that, they simply maintain with a couple of workouts each week and continued intermittent fasting.
But, it’s not just about the pictures and the appearance. Success stories also feature people getting stronger and adding mad weight to their lifts.
For the last two years, Kinobody has also offered a Kinobody 12-week transformation contest and the winner gets a cash prize. This is how the brand has been able to grow by leaps and bounds through their aggressive testimonial campaigns.
Will you get the Hollywood physique you’re craving? Maybe. Maybe not.
Kinobody Review – Final Recommendation
Review | Kinobody |
---|---|
Summary | Kinobody is a popular fitness brand with a suite of digital courses and supplements designed to help you build a leaner and more muscular body that resembles famous Hollywood celebrities and fitness models. Each course appears to be well thought-out and delivers expected results as long as the necessary work is applied in both the gym and the kitchen. The Kinobody line of supplements appear to be well formulated and dosed effectively, but none of them are really necessary to reach any one particular fitness goal. Overall, while the brand often takes a pretentious marketing stance of "elite-ism," the courses and supplements are effective and reasonably-priced. |

Does Kinobody actually work as a brand and collection of products?
To sum up this Kinobody review, the first thing I have to say is “wow”. Greg O’Gallagher is one busy guy with the programs, supplements, and even a clothing line to boot. He really did build some sort of empire.
The supplements are made of high-quality ingredients and the clothing line is made from premium material that’s really making an impact in the fitness industry.
Finally, someone is doing more than just selling a black t-shirt with their logo on it.
And when it comes to the Kinobody programs, I’ve personally looked inside each one and I think they actually deliver what they promise. If you follow the steps, you can change your body.
